Folding Crafts Paper May Candy Basket Children Can Make

Kirigami and Origami Paper Folding Fun for Children

Great, educational fun for children. All you need to get started is a pair of scissors, a piece of paper, a Scissor Craft pattern, a few quick folds, and voilà you've got an envelope, a basket or an elephant!

Make a May Candy Basket with card stock or vellum bristol paper.

Materials needed:

Print the May Basket image below on card stock and cut out the pattern along all solid lines.

Use a straight edge of a ruler to fold or score the folding edges (dotted lines)

Glue the flap ends to create your May Basket box.

Cut out the paper handle and glue ends on the inside of the box. Allow to dry.

Color the image with markers or crayons after the basket is completed. If you decorate it before assembling the glue may not adhere to the surfaces due to the crayon wax or marker film.

Fill the May Basket with candy or other treats.
