The art of doodling is as old as humankind. Doodles are commonly found in the margins of school notebooks drawn by students daydreaming or not interested in classroom subjects or discussions.
The word doodle was coined in the early 17th century and originally was intended to describe a fool or simpleton.
Doodling relaxes the brain, helps a person think and can actually improve a person's memory significantly according to a study published by Applied Cognitive Psychology. Many inventions have been thought up through idle doodling.
Squigglets are my doodles that I drew over my lifespan for no apparent reason. Some are "finished" and others aren't. Give em a try and see what you can create.
